Last night I had the opportunity to watch the finished product of a video project that was sponsored by Bristol Bay Native Corporation (BBNC) and resulted in a fifteen-minute video called “Day in Our Bay.” Cameras were distributed throughout the region so that BBNC shareholders living in Bristol Bay could share a day of their lives on the same day in the fall of 2011. They all shared what was important to them and every clip from every person included values that are supported by the riches of the land and water. Here is a trailer from the project website that gives a quick overview of how the undertaking was executed. If you would like to see the video in its entirety you can stream it from this Vimeo link.

By watching this short film you will be given a sample of a rich culture that will leave you hungry to taste more of what Bristol Bay has to offer.
