The Bend of Naknek River Known as ‘Rapids Camp.’ On the opposite bank, the river is flowing ice-free. May 2nd, 2012
Naknek River is melting down after a very cold winter with lots of snow. I hear stories of the snowmelt and run-off from the land helping the salmon find their way home. It’s wonderful to think about and it is good to see our home stream shedding its ice to ready itself for all of the fish that are headed this way.
